MEETINGS
-
Meditation evenings.
We meet on
Wednesday evenings at the Coach House , 40A Eastfield,
Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol.
We usually sit to meditate for one hour with a walking meditation (Kin-hin)
half way through. The evening begins with a short liturgy and often concludes
with an informal discussion. These meetings are held all the year round
from 7.30 p.m. until about 10.00 p.m., and cost £3.00 per session
(£1.00 concessions). This contribution goes to a nominated charity.
These charities are carefully chosen to reflect Buddhist values and we tend
to concentrate on smaller charities that are not already well supported
by mainstream donors
- The discussion group, ‘The
Dharma Practice Group’ is coordinated by Alysun
Jones who organises series of approximately six meetings in Winscombe and
in Bristol. The group aims to explore how we can apply Buddhist teachings
to our everyday lives. It is open to new members who are familiar with Buddhist
practice and will require of participants the willingness to commit to a
regular attendance for the six meetings. Participation will require both
openness and honesty. The Winscombe venue is Edgefield, The Square, Winscombe,
North Somerset (Directions). For further information
contact Alysun Jones on 01934 842017 or Email childsjones@clara.co.uk
